Hey, how can i tell when I need restringing, because my strings look fine in appearance, and not worn and all, but a few ppl have said that they are too loose and running out of power. Others say they only restring when they break the strings. How do I know when to restring?

string tension is nothing more than user preference.

if you feel it is not performing the way you want it to, restring it.
if you feel is it fine, leave it.

nobody should be telling you how it may be too loose or too tight.
the tension and string combination i run might be different from yours.
your friend's tension and string preference might be different from yours.

    Totally agree.

Equipment usage is personal preference issue. You can get tons of different suggestions, but the decision is still come from yourself. Whenever the performance is not acceptable, it's the time to re-string. ;)

    Hi,

for me, i usually will notice the string after palying for a while.
Meaning, i will check after every service or other people service.
If the string run out too wide every time you see, that means it time u have to change yr string.
The other one is that u use yr thrumbs to press when yr string is newly string.
After a few weeks, if u feel that u can press freely or without any effort.
    Meaning its time to change.
One more is that when u lst string that time, u can hear the sound when u hit the shuttle.
After a few weeks, u can hear again.
If the sound is soft or not the same u hear the lst time,
Again is time to change yr string.
these are the 3 ways which u can know when u can chnage yr string.
