She used to play for Indonesia.
She moved to the Netherlands and married a Dutchman. (or the other way round)
Hence her name Mia Audina Tjiptawan.

I don't know if the marriage made her immediately eligible to represent the Netherlands, or if she still had to have lived in the Netherlands for a number of years.

She aparantly was not welcome in indonesia anymore because she married a person from the Netherlands. Too bad for indonesia, she is increadible and will be more as soon as she loses some weight ;)

Apparently Mia wanted to represent Indonesia, but train in the Netherlands where see resides with her husband.

Unfortunately PBSI said she had to train in Indonesia to represent Indonesia.

On the note on immediate qualification which doesn't exist , you should check IBF rules, If a player wanted to change countries they need to stop representation their old country and wait four years (it used to be three years), this is in-line with also getting citizenship on their new country which can of course be done through marriage.

Players can play for countries other than their existing country for example Nicholas Kidd who plays for England, but was born in Australia, as his grandparents are English (or is it his parents) so he qualifies on the citizenship, and didn't play for Australia of England for three years during his move to the UK.

i don't think that her weight has something to do with it ... for me it's more muscle than something else, she's already really strong and lose 5 or 10 kg will change nothing
