seeing her play in the finals against ZhouMi makes me wonder has she lost her touch or what ???

she seems a bit tired and lost of concentration. her movement were no where near her best. is she getting bored or has her teamates did some homework on her game ???

Perhaps her main aim was the World Champs. After a long preparation followed by the disappointment of losing in WC, motivation will be difficult to maintain.

i think the Chinese BA wants new blood to be at the top.read somewhere, she has expressed desire to move on to s'thing other than badminton, either of her own volition or otherwise.
perhaps she is playing a supporting role now to groom top fresh blood & then make a gracious exit, much like Ye, Zhang Ning & perhaps even Dai Yun.
at the moment the two front runners are Zhou Mi & Gong RN.They could be looking at ppl. like Dong Fang, Tang Chunyu,Xie Xinfang etc. to fill the vacuum if any.
Difficult to fathom the minds of the Chinese BA, like the 'chopping' of Ge Fei/Gu Jun etc........

Her only asset is determination and retrieval. She has no particular trademark 'killer shot', and as she hasalready won her World, 2xAE and Olympic,
which is more than Ye (who never got her Olympic gold) motivation could be difficult. The latest losses to Gong RN in the WC and ZhouM in the GP must be very disheartening if it was not deliberately plotted by the China BA. But she's played few tournaments since the olympics - her main plays being in AE and then in the Asia Cup where she played in every match - perhaps she was jaded by the time she went on to play the Wc itself. I wouldn't mind playing badminton for a living if it paid better. But I suppose this is already better than the table tennis players who get something in money terms like the ping-pong ball compared with tennis balls for Badminton players. Tennis players get something like footballs - oh one could go on but I cannot remember all the balls, dammit. JC

I'd love to play badminton for a living, but if I did, I'd earn most of my money by looking for lost coins under the seats of the stadium.
