hello all, i am a student doing a degree in product design. for my final year project i have chosen to do a badminton training aid which lauches shuttle to multiple destinations, allowing the user to do general foot work traing while practicing shots. does any one know what speed the shuttles need to be launched at? also, what sort of flight patterns and angle of trajectory would be best? Any info. to do with the flight of a shuttle would be very helpfull. i thank u in advance. why guy
Variable Speed Each shot requires different speeds. Are u making a shuttle feeding machine? That would be cool. But anyways, have it with a variable speed control. Start at low speed, then at high speeds. Good training.
That sounds really awesome. Maybe you should make a few and sell 'em! haha Good luck with your project!
The idea is that it works like a fan, oscilating from left to right but at the same time it will tilt up and down and hopefully it will create a range of different shots! i am not trying to simulate a player but just provide a training aid for a player. so is there any useful tips on what sort of shots would be prefered? and time difference between shots? cheers why.
i am currently designing a test rig but will be working on a full working prototype for june so any useful info. would be very much appreciated. why
One of the drills I used to do was a multi shuttle drill where the feeder stood in the center of the court near the the front service line .The feeder would then throw the shuttles to all six corners of the court with the interval being to throw only after the shuttle was hit or hit the floor. This is a quite demanding drill and should have maybe 15 shuttles per cycle depending on the students level. For those who want to try the drill with others just a safety note.Wear safety glasses and add that all returns must be away from the feeder.Hope this helps.
when.you.say.throw.do.you.mean.just.throws? i.ask.becuase.it.seems.like.throwing.the.shuttle.cannot.have.enough of.an.angle.to.be.succesfully.returned.in.the.back.two.corners this.drill.sounds.interesting.though.plz.elaborate damned.space.bar
You have to remember this is a speed endurance drill and that the player must return to the center to be capable of reaching all the shots possible.A clear is not always possible from the back corners
