she was the German open 2000 ladies singles' champ beating Hu Ting in the finals. she took over Gong RN's place when she withdrew at the last minute. abt. the same size as Dai Yun but younger & slightly fleshier but right-handed. Quite sharp in her strokes......imo. could go far.
but she lost to Yuli Marfuah of INA. in 4 sets in the 2nd. round. however Tang Chunjue convincingly beat Lidya D. of INA. Tang CJ is a pocket dynamo..... very impressive......no taller than GZC, only slightly stouter, but her strokes & smashes are at least as powerful as those of GZC (love to hear the loud & clear sounds from her racquet from the stands). reckon that TCJ could rise to the top very soon . being left -handed ,TCJ appears graceful, staccato movements are not noticeable in her play.
