I am new beginer in Badminton. I just bought a Yonex MusclePower 25, but can't find any infomrtion at all. Is recommemded by the stall keeper in royal sporing house......anyone have any inoformation on Yonex MusclePower 25. Thankyou.
Don't worry so much bout it. As long as it doesn't break and you are still able to play with it, then maximise it before upgrading . Wisdom lies not in the racquet...
i think he just wanted some basic background info on his racquet... hahaha. wisdom lies not in the racquet, but knowledge results in power. sorta. lowBH >> can you tell us what the little rectangular sticker on the cone says? it should be located right above the grip. there should be a number, followed by a "U", and a "G", followed by another number. this will tell us how much your racquet weighs, and how large the handle is. you can also try to balance your racquet on your finger, like a teeter totter, then measuring that point from the bottom handle, to determine where the balance point is. this will tell us if the racquet is head heavy, or head light.
it looks like a very fine racket for a beginner badminton player. have fun with it and hope you will quickly make progress in your skills!
If the price is right, then i guess the owner did a good job to recommend this racket for u. This racket is developed for beginner / int. lvl player, who should in general, benefit from more flexed shaft and even balanced racket (don't know ur own playing style yet).
just found out that this MP 25 is actually a Tiawan Made. Is there any quality different if compare to Japan make ? or do anyone known if there is a Japan made mp25 ? Thanks
Ah yes, the debate goes on....but really, who can tell definitvely? There is this much older man in my gym - he recently bought a taiwan made MP25 (an upgrade from his old cab9 ).... and all I can say is, his racket made no diff at all....still whips my ass.
just find out....we have the same birthday.....but you much younger. so belated Happy Birthday to you.
Hey friend...here is some information about your racket...It is a flexible, all graphite racket. It is manufactured in Taiwan. Yonex rates it 3 and 3 on power and control respectively, on a scale of 5 that is. Since it is a flexible racket, the power might not be too great as compared to high end rackets. However, if you need more power, restring at a higher tension...something like 21x23 or 22x24.
what is 21x23 and 222x24 ? is it the tension that I have to let vendor know when changing string ? any good string to recommend ?
higher tension for more power? you're going the wrong direction here. should be the other way around. more power use lower tension.
I agree with Napee I agree with Napee on pwr. Sorry but I think to have power, lower tension provides more. With high tension, you need a great swing speed to get power. However, with high tension, you do get better accuracy. Coming back to this YY MP25, I tried a new one from a friend. It felt great compared with my MP77. Didn't play much with it but my initial impression is that it can produced a lot of power and control. Cheap too!
Nice to see you are still around, Xuser, if I'm not mistaken the thread starter for the well known "higher tension for more power" Regarding the better feeling compared with mp77, actually mp77 is quite a difficult racquet to play with. I'm glad I lost my mp77 after one of the tournaments. Switching to other regular racquets will make us feel better than using a long racquet such as mp77. Anyway to me, mp77 is only suitable for singles although the olympic doubles gold medalist somewhere around year 2000 or 2001 (I forgot) both used mp77.
Yes, I am still around Yes speedy. I think I remembered about that thread you were referring to I'm a doubles and mixed player, not singles as age and stamina prevented me from being good at it I have tried MP100, 88, 99 but I found the MP77 is a lot more suitable for my style of play. I can smashed the hell out of it and still play a control game. Defensive and Offensive games felt no different in my doubles game as well. Just felt right for me I guess. Recently, this friend of mine won an MP25 and thats how I got to try it out briefly. It felt very good with factory string and grip. The smashes felt very good. I must admit it felt very close to my MP77 SP version 2U G4.
I recently broke my At-700 :crying: in a tournament and had to use a mp-25. It took me a while to adjust to it, but I found that it gave me just as much controll as the at-700, but less power. I paid less than $100 and I think it was well worth it
Work quite well as a beginner racket, although i still prefer Cab series than lower end mp series You bought from RSH ar?sure makan you 1 lar This racket is quite good for a beginner so make full use of it untill you find urself ready for a better racket.
