I wonder what's the popular grip size used by the pros. Small ones or big ones? I've watched some double and single match videos and I think they used G4 size.

how can you tell the difference between G3/G4/G5 by watching a video?

the camera is so far away and you are talking about millimeter differences.

Yes. You're right. But I noticed those players used smaller grips (G4 or G5) when I watched the replay or sometime I used slow motion and zoom features to get a very very closer look.

    grip size

The Korean women's team all use G5 Yonex rackets, I've read Kim Dong Moon uses G3, but then he's pretty tall. I wonder what Yoo uses, he's about my size.

I started playing with G3, then moved to G4 and now only feel comfortable with G5. Do most people use thinner grips as their game improves? I don't know many league players who use really thick grips.

In my case, I use G4. I used to use G3 before but feel less power and control. Since you need to have a 'reasonable space' between your thumb and pointer finger while holding the racket in badminton, I think smaller grip size will give you extra control and power while you swing the racket. Means 'loose' better than 'tight' in badminton.

In the Athens olympics MD Semi Final (against Sang Yang and Zheng Bo), I noticed a white grip underneath the blue overgrap he is using. Assuming he would choose the racquet with the biggest grip avail (G4 in Korea), it should be a G3 (or even G2).

Sometimes, a racket in a big man's hand looks like a match stick. :D

I think HA Tae Kwon was using the AT-800 G5 racquet during his 2004 Olympic Men's Doubles final match. KIM Dong Moon's Ti-10 looks like it is of bigger grip size. It was either that or he was using double grips.
