I have a look at the photos of top players in www.worldbadminton.net All photos are so dull and not exciting. I do believe that the players are agile, but the photographer can not capture those moments. Proably because the speed is faster than the speed of camera, why the record of 162mph is unbreakable.
check out the ATP tennis website. www.atptennis.com the photos and website itself if way better than the badminton one. why can't the badminton site improve. they should have the news on the front page with lots of pics...
what? i am in the US right now...but it should be hot and humid in bkk right now...temp about 32 C...and it's rainy season right now so weather should be pleasant....i always like the weather in bkk....
tennis has the benefit of having natural outdoor lighting. it is much more difficult to take fast action pics in an indoor stadium. besides, badminton is so much faster than tennis.
definitely not indoors(for fighter planes).....but i'm pretty sure that professional photographers can do it (of course for badminton).....
Squash is slower. I dun get it, the table tennis ball is so small, yet the pictures they take have higher resolution.
the pics on the latest news "All South East Asian Affair" on worldbadminton.net they should definitely have captions and also close-up of the face to show expressions....
Picture, let's say, 2 photos of F1 racing cars. travelling @ 220 mile/hr. a photo taken with a camera of shutter speed 1/1000s can freeze action to give a sharp pic. whereas a pic taken with a camera of shutter speed abt 1/2s wld give a blurred pic. kinda like Heisenberg's uncertainty principle.
One key factor is that while badminton is an indoor game, flashlight is not permitted to use. So what shuttle speed you need to get perfect picture?
