You can take a look at www.15vs0.com which is the forum of Hui You badminton club in Shanghai. The playing places and time are listed in it.

    Hello,

I just moved to Pudong and I am really looking forward to playing badminton here! My Chinese is quite limited but more than enough to communicate on the court ;-)

If you're part of a club and/or could introduce me to one it would be great if you could email me: hochedez@hotmail.com
    Xiexie!!!

I'm looking for a place to play near JinMao Tower Pudong side. I can't read the chinese very well, though I can speak it well enough to get around. Shbc.com website is too much chinese for me. Please help me as last time I was there for a week. I could find anywhere to play. I'll be going again from 17th to 24th of December. Thank you very much.

    EddieLee70:

Pls contact again when you travel to Shanghai (Pudong) or cities in China. Plenty of places for sparring & practice for all levels.
BTW, whats your level in your opinion on a scale of 1 - 10 (I'd rank Lin Dan & Lee Chong Wei at Level 10)?

    Hello Shanghainese players.

I play once a week at 21 Sports Hotel in Xujiahui: 2 hours for a court with 4 players is 20RMB per person. The 5th floor is better than the 1st floor in terms of courts quality.

    Hi NinjaBlanc,

I am intermediate to advance player (1-10 1=worst/10=Best...I would rate myself around 7-8.)

I will be travelling to Shanghai next week for a couple of weeks.

    - Can I join your group?
    - Which day of the week do you normally play and at what time?

    Thanks

I would make the ranking more easily understandable to everyone

    10 - National player
    9 - State player
    8 - Open level
    7 - A grade
    6 - B grade
    5 - C grade
    4 - D grade
    3 - E grade
    2 - Social player only
    1 - Beginner

    Hi BrunoLow,

I am sorry I did not reply earlier.

Sadly according to Robbo77's scale (thank you for the information), I am only a social player that plays once a week (but I wish I could play more) for fun ). I've never played in a club and never got a coach, so I'm afraid that my level is way out of your league.

I usually play or Wednesday or Thursday at 8pm (to 10pm).

    I forgot to mention:
There are 6 courts on the first floor (avoid 6 and 3 as there is a basketball ring above one side), the price is 50RMB/hour.
There are 3 courts on the sixth floor (all good but it is very warm during summer), the price is 60 RMB/hour
