    Hi there,

I've been playing with a yonex ti-3 for about 2 years.
    Yesterday the strings finally snapped.
For the rest of the session I got a loan of a muscle power 99. I must say I enjoyed playing with it and my instructor said he noticed an improvement in my game.
The question is...should I just get my ti-3 restrung at a higher tension (will it take it?) or just bite the bullet and get myself one of those lovely muscle power 99's? :D

    cheers

    Colin.

It is up to you. If you don't want to miss out on anything, why not go for both? If you end up playing with your new MP99 all the time, your old restrung ti-3 can still serve as a backup.

keep the ti-3 as an old friend.
since you have used it for so long, i bet you know it very well.
its something that is familiar, trusted, and reliable to go back to on your off-days!

Try to re-string Ti-3 1st (with similar or a bit higher tension than the MP99) then try it out. If the performance is all good, it's done. If still quite a bit below MP99's standard, and you have enough $$$, go for the MP99 then. ;)
