I'm interested in carlton racquets besides yonex but I'm not having confidence in carlton now mostly because the carlton website has been showing the following message for the last 1 year :

"We apologise for the break in service while the site is being re-designed"

I'm a doubles player and I heard carlton racquets are good for doubles. Unfortunately carlton appears to slow down in its race with yonex. Does anyone have any information about this?

mmm...who said that? I'm sure not all carlton racquets (i'm thinking of the unltra heavy "titanium" versions) are good for doubles.

I believe Carlton is much better when playing doubles or even when playing in general. Carlton isn't really bias to any type of play but when you get into the Rasmussen series it's aimed more at the Offensive side of play. And to answer your question I don't know about the Carlton website, I just trust my instincts and buy a Carlton I think would suit me best.

If you want to know more about Carlton look on the equipment reviews or look on a website called: www.directsports-eshop.com and click on badminton and scroll through the racket section, it tells you It's Statistics.

This brings us to a question. Is carlton dead already. When i visited india this time, the racket shops stopped carrying Carlton. Carlton was probably as famous as Yonex in my city. Their top end rackets were nearly the same price as a mid level racket of yonex in india. Eg, Carlton Asti or Ab 2000 was around 2100Rs when a yonex ti8 used to cost 3000Rs.

I wish carlton innovates more and provides some kind of competition to Yonex in Europe (if not in asia).

Btw, is the Aerogear 900 and 2000 a remake of the famous aerogear series of rackets. I once had the pleasure of using the 700,900,1000 and 2000TFx. But the New aerogear 900 is claimed ot be even balance. Would love to try it out...Brings back some fond memories of good old baddy days. Phew...

If you want to go on the Carlton website click on this link: http://www.carltonsports.com/home.html and click on the Carlton logo in the bottom right hand corner which will take you on to the site. But it hasn't been updated in a while.

    naw, try several times.
close the window if it takes you to the construction screen.
after a couple tries, it'll send you to the old html file.

Type Carltonsport in google and click the [Translate this page] on this website: www.carltonsports.co.kr option it's actualy quite good (well compared to the current English Carlton website).
