I'm having a new Armortec-800. But I hav to put strings on it. Wats the best tension??? I thought about: 25.3 lbs on the mains and 27.5 lbs on cross. Is that good???:)

    *sigh*

If you like it, it's good.

Most players would find that too stiff. Choosing tensions is down to preference (like the racket too); but it's good to start low (say, 20 - 21 lbs) and build up.

Don't just choose a high tension because you think it will make you play like a pro. It won't.

I also doubt you can be so precise about tensions. I mean, 25.3 lbs? How are you going to tell the difference between 25 and 25.3? How is the stringer going to be so accurate?

I read the following put together by cheung. I think the material is a must read in this forum. very very good:

i enjoyed reading those material on one hand and find myself improved in the knowledge of "tensions" on the other hand.

    thanks to BC and cheung
