There's Bret Harte Jr High in Oakland.. it cost $2 or something like that...although it seems like people just dont pay at all. they operate on Tue and Friday 6-9 last ive heard. They have like 4 courts. Ive only been there once.
And then there's something at Lincoln Recreation center ( the place with the big wooden ship playground) in Oakland Chinatown. its free, but only 2 courts, and the floor is slippery. I dont play there either, heh.

You could always signup for classes at the local community college (i think its too late now) like Laney College or COllege of Alameda. Probably the cheapest way to play if you play often.

Come to the University Village tonight. There is a gym at the southwest side of Monroe St. and 8th St. at Albany, CA. It opens Thursday 9:00 ~ 10:30 PM, Saturady 6:30 ~ 8:30 PM, and Sunday 8:30 ~ 10:00 PM. Just get in and sign the sign up sheet. It is supposed for university village tenant. But nobody really cares. Or you need to pay $45 ? each semester or $4 or 5 each time. Only two courts and poors light tough. But there is very few people and better than nothing if you really like badminton.

I drove all the way there, through the boondocks, only to find kids loitering around. haha. silly me.

    Bret Harte badminton club closed

hi Goldenbear! Really sorry, i should have written this months ago.

I played there only once, around March. We came back once more, and found that the badminton club there has been revoked. We drove a long way to get there too.
