Hullo, I am new to this site, and I would like to know better equipment to fit me. I have an AT700, but I want to upgrade to a powerfuller and better racquet. I like to do smashes and clears because I have good arm strength:p;however, I do not believe the AT700 fits me well. Is there a better racquet for me? Money is not an obstacle. Your responses would be well received. Thanks!

Unfortunately, differences between high end racquets are minor.

So, my belief is there is no one outstanding racquet model that will 'suit you better'.

    Sintec Professional 800.
But its available in Singapore only.
Excellent for smashing (if you can handle the weight).
Frame guaranteed to be able to take up to 32lbs string tension.
I imagine it to be like a cross between Yonex MP100 and AT700.
Similar flex as the MP100, similar balance as the AT700.
    I'm using one right now.
And my smashing power has improve alot.
Retailing S$159 and guaranteed against breakage for 1 year (in Singapore only).
If you have any friends in Singapore, you may consider getting a couple shipped over.

There is no specific racket for someone. I like to use Carlton because I like the thickness of the shaft and the way it's built. Funnily enough I was in the same situation with my AT700, I'm a powerful player and I thought that the head heavy balance wasn't for me as my net play was degrading, so I bought an even balance racket. I found a "Carlton Rasmussen Tour" for £90 (guenuine) and found this racket and balance to be right for me. So just try different models and makes of rackets until you find the one you like.

I guess one way is to find a pro that play the same style as yours. IMHO, Arbi and Sony Kuncoro are playing power games. Too bad Arbi is not playing any more. And Sony Kuncoro is using MP99. ;)

Hello, I'm a phycic person. Judging by your name, the fact that you have an AT700 and that money is not an obstacle, I am guessing that your name is ISAAC WONG. Man you just got that racket 2 weeks ago.

AT700 is quite excellent in clearing and smashing. If u want something better, u have to wait for the AT10000 :p

I believe AT700 is one of the leaders in market for power game already. However, the main difference is urself, not the racket. I have no question about ur arm strength, but u also need to make u have to proper technique in order to do the proper strokes. If the big muscle is everything in badminton, then I guess the best players must be those heavy weight boxers, etc. ;)

    The heavy pounders
    2U MP77
    2U Ti 10
    2U MP100

These might be more powerful on the basis that it is slightly heavier and that you can swinger harder with heavier rackets than light rackets. But if your technique is good, you can produce just as powerful smashes with 3U and 4U rackets. I haven't found any high end rackets that won't produce enough power..it's all about technique.

try a mp100. armortec700 definately is the ultimate powerhouse racket but when i used it, my arm would always be tired in a few minutes. using musclepower100 my clears were very effective.
i've never tried a mp99 so u'll ahve to ask someone else about that. currently i am using an armortec800 OFF as a pure offensive. the power is about 98/100 of the armortec700 and it doesnt make u as tired.

well...u should try proace thundebolt 2 ( strung at 26/27 lbs with bg66) if u are looking for very good smashing power..euheueueuenheheuu...it's highly recommended from me :D :D reasonable price. can get it from singapore at b.b.c 10&10 shop - comes with warrenty also.

Warning : thunderbolt 2 is not recommended to people who don't have wrist/ arm power. it's a head heavy racket with very good offensive power. good for singles esp. when u want to kill the opp. with ur powerful smash :D :D
