pffts. I'll answer the first 5 becoz i wanna go home now 1. In a country of free speech, why are there phone bills? - it's free with voice over internet is free and free countries have internet first 2. Why do they call it a building if its already built? - because a building required constant renovation and upgrading 3. Do people born blind have dreams? If they do, do they know what they are seeing? - best to ask a blind person and u'll get the right answer 4. If you are on a Concord at full speed can you hear the engines? (you are travelling faster than sound!)" - yes u can, check einstein and newton on relativity 5. What happens when you get scared half to death twice? - u can't die from being scared half to death, here is the proof: life = 1 life = 0.5 after first scare life =0.25 after 2nd scare life =0.125 after 3rd scare life = 0.0625 after 4th scare life = 0.03125 after 5th scare etc Ie, one can't die from been scared to death because u'll die of old age before a person experienced infinite number of scare
I guess I will just pick on some easy ones 21. If you get into a taxi cab, and ask the driver to drive backwards to your destination, will the cab driver owe you money? No, the fee is calculated based on the distance you travel and it's not directional. Say, if you go forward 10 miles from your home, and then come bac to your home, you will have to pay for that 20 miles driven. 22. If you try to fail, and succeed, which have you done? You succeed on failing; in other words, you have failed successfully. 23. If a word in the dictionary were misspelled, how would we know? If you have seen more dictionaries spelled in the other way, you would know 24.What happens if you go on a survival course - and you don't pass? You failed to survive; You will not survive; You die!
i'll continue on with easy ones too 6. What color does a smurf turn when you choke it? - still blue, any kids can tell u that 7. If a tree fell and no one was there to hear it, did it make a noise? yes it will make noise. If an audio recording device was left there, any person can hear the play back of that noise even tho that person wasn't there to witness it. Beside, why do a human has to hear it to be considered noise. Nearby forest animals and insects would clearly hear the falling tree. I've just debunked the "Falling Tree Paradox... " It's so silly how some people wrote heaps of papers and thesis on this subject LOL Quantum physics can back this up too 11. Why doesn't glue stick to the inside of the bottle? - it does, just take longer time because the bottle is sealed. Faster if the bottle is left open. 14. If someone with multiple personalities threatens to kill himself, is it considered a hostage situation? - no. Multiple personalities person can only exhibit one personality at one time. However, taking oneself as hostage has been done before in real life but it wasnt involve with multiple personalities abnormality. 15. Crime doesn't pay... does that mean my job is a crime? yes, it rob me time to play badminton 16. How can someone "draw a blank"? - i believe cartoonist draw blank quite often 25. Why are all blackboards called that when some of them are green? - blackboards were originally black. 27. Why are violets blue and not violet? -hmm, i still see some violets with violet petals. The blue one is due to man playing around with mother nature (cross pollination) 29. Why is a boxing ring square? - because modern day boxing ring is square but not so in the early days. "The name ring is an atavism from when contests were fought in a roughly drawn circle on the ground, the name ring continued with the Jack Broughton rules (1743) specifying a small circle in the centre of the fight area where the boxers met at the start of each round. The first square ring was introduced by the Pugilistic Society in 1838, the ring was specified as 24 feet square and bound by two ropes."
4. Although the individual on the aircraft is travelling at Vaircraft, in relation to the motor engine he is not travelling at that speed since the engine is also attached to the aircraft and so the sound emitted also has a Vintial = Vaircraft. So both engine and human travels at same Vaircraft in relation to a stationary point on the ground but the engine emits sound waves at ~340m/s which can be heard by the individual on the craft. 18. The question is actually misleading. If you hold an object in front of a mirror, say, your hand and observe the relation between the object and image, you will see that both are actually parallel to each other and are not reversed right and left at all. Instead, the image is flipped FRONT-TO-BACK and so it's actually more technically correct to say that a plane mirror reverses back to front. However, on the other hand, a concave mirror can show a up-side-down image if the object is placed behind both the focal length and the centre of curvature.
Maybe it has something to do with the way it is written? A loop from above, followed by a loop below that connects and kept going. Does that mean it's infinite then? Maybe. But it doesn't explain the "O" as zero though.
the concept of 'zero' originated from the middle-east / arabian civilization. it is symbolized as "." in arabic numerals it is pronounced in arabic as sifrun or sifru and the concept finally reached the modern western civilization as zero (in pronounciation)
my turn 9. Why do fat chance and slim chance mean the same thing? i dont think they do mean the same thing fat chance = sounds more discouraging slime chance = sounds more more probable (ie that something really slim may make it thru the crack ) 11. Why doesn't glue stick to the inside of the bottle? it does. it just isnt given the chance to dry. try pouring all the glue out of the bottle. you wont succeed im sure 13. Did Adam and Eve have navels? errrrrrrrr this is a tough one 24.What happens if you go on a survival course - and you don't pass? expect search parties, hellicopters, and some media coverage. for the first 4-7 days before they call it quits 26. Why are they called "stands" when they're made for sitting? because these stands are standing on their feet so thus they are stands. besides..... most stands dnt provide very good seating nor cushioning........ so you are most likely to be standing up again not long after sitting on one LOL 27. Why are violets blue and not violet? if you are colorblind to a degree would you be really able to tell??? 28. Why do we say "a pair of pants" when there is only one article of clothing involved? you could always design a new 'pants' where you could put on each article of clothing 'pants' for each leg sepparately if you really want to be language perfect. but i think that would leave our balls hanging? 29. Why is a boxing ring square? because it has 4 corners
i repeat myself. because it has 4 corners if that isnt good enough for you........... then please remember that that is a BOXing ring we are talking about 8man 4 ever
