Thanks bluejeff. I suppose the NS7000TW would probably be priced the same as the AT800 (US$100?). I shall ask my friend to grab one for me when he is in Taipei next week. :)

No, dealers aren't that stupid to price down a new stuff. Since the supply is somewhat limited for now, the avg price I have heard is around $135USD as of this moment.

PS: NTD:USD is about 30:1 now, so buying rackets in Taiwan is no longer cheaper.

If your friends went to Kaoshiung, try to call this store and check out the price. I and my frineds always got rackets (and shoes) there.

sotx and kason are China brands, and they will not be available in Taiwan.

A friend of mine got Mp-100, AT800OF, and AT800DE there about four weeks ago. The price was around NT$3000-NT$3200. They can string the racket with BG-65 for ~NT$200.

The Singapore Dollar has strengthened for the past few months. now US$135=S$220. Its still a good deal if you compare it to the cost of NS7000 SP in Singapore :) (Personally I have no doubts about TW coded YY rackets, quality should be the same as SP but do not wish to start a war here about country codes!)

Well, in your case, it would be worth it because there is no shipping involved. (your dad can buy it directly from the store)

However, if there is international shipping involved, then it's just not worth it. :)

A friend of mine is holidaying in Taipei at the moment and he sent me a text message complaining that he could not even find one yonex racket that come in G4 grip size. Are the Yonex TW rackets only available in G5 grip sizes?

Only 4U rackets in TW may have the 4UG4 version.
Other than that, I think it's all in G5.

Last week I checked with a Taiwanese colleague of mine and was told that SHB99 TW has not been released yet.
