    Hi there,
I was wondering if anyone would be willing to help me tape the Men's Doubles matches with Chandra Wijaya playing in them? Because they aren't showing any of the Men's Doubles matches here in Singapore!!!!
I'll pay for the tapes, postage and if you want, like a small fee for your trouble... Thanks!

    It's now tied at 2-2.

    Hendrawan bt Roslin
    Candra/Sigit bt Choong/Lee(ret.)
Ong EH bt Marleve in straight sets
    Chan/Chew bt Tony/Bambang 15-7,12-15,15-10

So it's between Wong CH and Rony now!!

    Wong bt Rony 15-1, 15-5
Final result: MAS bt INA 3-2

Hoo man!!! What an exciting finals!! at least the 3rd and 4th matches tt I caught were VERY VERY close. The last one was a bit of an anti-climax tho, really one-sided.

Somehow the results of the 1st 4 matches went exactly the way I predicted/hoped for them to be (due to personal preferences of course. =P). Apologies to the Tony fans... But I expected the last one to be tougher than this. Poor Rony. He must be feeling terrible.

    congratulation to Malaysia!

I think I better ask PBSI to hire back Indra Wijaya before it is too late and INA team can't retain the Thomas Cup :>

    GO INA!!

No no!! They MUST retain the cup!! Maybe it's just not their year this year, failing to defend both Asia Cup and the Men's Team title at SEA Games... But they'll learn their lesson right? and be aware that a few other ctys are catching up.

Good for M'sia tho!! They know they haven't hired the wrong coaches. =)

    Unfortunately...

    "They MUST retain the cup!!"

I say this relunctantly but I don't think it's very possible now, with the growth of China and Malaysia. It may be too early to make an assessment though and I am expecting plenty of violent responses. Go ahead. Shoot.

Is not sending Taufik, and Halim for SEA Games a right choice after all?

I was watching RTM but there wasn't much coverage so how did you guys get the results?

Anybody surprised that the second mens' doubles failed to deliver the goods? Did anyone get to watch this match? How would you rate their performance last night?

    Re: Unfortunately...

I was watching it online on a very very small screen, so the view wasn't really clear. But it was a very close match I would say, where they tied at many pts. The gap wouldn't go beyond 2 pts until the end. But I THINK tony wasn't playing his usual impressive game, while on the other hand Chan CM played well and Chew didn't make as many mistakes as he usually did.

Does anyone know if Mas is gonna have a delayed tele of it anytime? I really wanna watch it on tv. I couldn't even see the shuttle and had to figure which way it went according to the players' movements.

    I'm quite blur!!
So what's going on now? What matches have been played and which finals have been played? They don't even say anything about badminton in the Singapore newspapers...

    Re: Unfortunately...

    hello.
you can go to www.kl2001.com to check out the results.

the team events are over. Ina took the women's title but didn't manage to defend the men's title.

the indiv events began today. If you're free in the afternoon, do tune in to city tv as they may show some of the matches. They showed the full match between Boonsak P and Ong EH today, where BP bt Ong by 15-11,15-9. Probably the only close match today.

tomorrow will be the quarter finals. And City tv will be showing the semis and finals live on fri and sat at 2.30pm.

    You know, everything is relative.

Apologies to all MAS fans - I'm in a ranting mood.

I don't know if everything is relative but wealth definitely is, the more wealth you have the more relatives you have.
