Hi, I've read many articles of replacing the backhand with a "round the head" shot. What exactly is "round the head"? I've already searched the forums, nothing in it though. Your replies appreciated!:)

It is when u bend to your upperbody to your backhandside and take the shot with your forehand therefore replacing the need to use your backhand

Thanks:), that seems very logical. If the shuttle is only 2 feet above the ground, what should the person do? I'm working on my backhand because it needs alot of improvement. Correct me if I'm wrong but I'm trying to have that "whipping" action in it.

Improve you foot work so that it doesn't drop that low before you hit it. :)

It isn't always possible to use round the head. So a backhand is useful sometimes - when it isn't possible to use round the head. I wouldn't try round the head with anything lower than head height. Generally, the point is if it is below that point where you are required to take it with a backhand why wasn't the shuttle taken earlier (obviously unless it was a netshot).
