blowing on the handle?

    i did a search on "blowing on handle" but didn't get any so i was wondering if anyone knows why professionals, especially koreans, blow on their handles before receiving a serve? I see it a lot when professionals play and is it supposed to dry your handle? lol
    I don't think a little blow will affect the grip that much...

    it dries the grip and the palm. and it does work to a certain extent.

    it's mostly to dry the palm and fingers surface

    Maybe the grip spray/lube they used on their handles are still wet, that's probably why they would blow on the handles to dry it faster.

    I think it is to calm and steady their nerves. Table tennis players do this all the time.
