Must agree. In that thread, Kwun outlines badminton equipment and it was quite helpful in deciding my racket. If we were to vote who the most helpful person in BF is, I'm sure it would be Kwun^^.

For me, it was the fingerpower thread. Really opened my eyes to new possibilities. Before I came across that thread, I never thought about different grip techniques. Only grips I knew were the v-grip and panhandle; and I was told never to use panhandle for any shot if I value my racquet elbow. So I used v-grip for everything. Got decent swing speed but smash was shitty cuz I was slicing it alot. The thread totally opened up my shot options to greater power and angle. It'll be prefect now if I could only fix my footwork and increase my speed:crying:!

Panhandle grip is best used at the net... net-kills, drives and blocks. Using it for overhead shots is just asking for trouble. I know of an ex- table tennis player who just getting into baddy a year ago and already he couldn't play without an elbow brace cuz he was using panhandle grip for overheads before. Of course, there are people like PANHANDLE who proved us wrong:rolleyes:.

    Anything about footwork.
Improving my footwork has made the biggest difference to my game, particularly singles.

for me, it's the one about power coming from pronation of the arm. That when applied, improved my overhead strokes by a lot.

Anything in the Technique/Training forum. Any threads on footwork, different kinds of grips and shots, strategies, and what you do to workout. A lot of different threads in there.
