Kwun, you might have forgotten to add the link, but may I add this link(It's not up yet). It says it'll start on Tuesday 3/15 at 12:00 PM Swiss(Switzerland) Time-(for those in USA interested in staying up and watching, it'll start later tonight/tomorrow early morning at 3 AM PST, 4 AM MST, 5 AM CST, 6 AM EST :..zzzzzz.. Hope the server can handle all of us BCers... http://www.swissopen.com/english/besucher/live-streaming.php And here are last year's winners: MS - Lin Dan WS - Gong Ruina MD - Fu/Cai WD - Gao/Huang XD - Kim/Ra
Wow, I try that link...it works...nice nice....thanks for the links...hope that next badminton tournament also has like this...live streaming Is it today qualification round or already main draw....hmm but I guess no Chinese players participate...
This is so good. Swiss open may not be the most prestigious tournament, but it gets my vote for the most technologically advanced by any standard. I am going to pay the cost for watching over the weekend. This is fantastic. Other organisers, please take note.!!!
Same here, that's what I'm getting this morning..Last night i actually stayed up and watch the 1st or so hour of the Qualifications(from before 3 am and watched the XD and MS only) and the connection was smooth as you can get. I got bored though as these are still the Qualifications... Paying for the QF, SF, and Final days is not a bad idea, esp. to us fans here in the U.S. who lacks any connection to these tourneys. On that note, hope next month's Japan Open won't be outdone. Heck, they're arguably one of the most technologically advanced country in the world and they can't even make something similar to this effort??...
i went into work and tried it again. it was going at full speed (331k/s). Japan Open historically has been behind the times when it comes to web coverage. last year was the first year where they have live scoring. years before, some guy (BF member) was doing an unofficial site updating the scores for the web audience. the Danes was the ones who are most ahead of times. i remember way back in the 1999 WC/SC, they were already doing live scoring via the web. i vividly remember sitting at the computer lab at school watching the numbers going up and up, jumping up at various occasions. others in the lab must think i am yet another computer nerd turned mad.
I'm getting 331k/s, and a crisp image of a guy sweeping the floor. Apart from him the arena is deserted.
But it works now.. Which is very impressive.. but I cannot seem to find any live scoring.. can somebody help me? :crying:
The live streaming is very clear, but I get a lot of bufferings, playing for a few seconds and then froze. Will the paid streaming be smooth? I do not wish to have freezes every few seconds. My internet is 512kps.
They've already stopped streaming for the day.. and of course stopped playing(it's currently almost 2 AM in Swiss right now). If you want to catch it, it'll continue again later tonight/early morning(Canada time). Check the tournament playing time, I believe Thursday they'll start at 10 AM(Swiss Time). Good luck-
How good is the reliability of the paid version? Any one tested yet? Well, I guess with the paid service, you won't get, rtm version of 'server has reached stream limit'
Should there be streaming at this time? or can I just not get it to work? do you need anything to play it besides window media player?
No, you just need windoes media player. I am watching it right now. Gade vs Ahn is on. Great quality, 291 kbps. No lag here.
Bah, I click the link, windows media player opens, then it says "windows media player cannot open this file..." Any suggestions?
