I should get mine by the end of the week. Will post a review when i get plenty of action for my vancouver trip.
They are released in the UK this coming Monday - I'll maybe get a pair depending on price since I've just bought a new pair of 89's and have a pair of newish 98's.
Unless when I go to the shop to get some 89s they have run out of my size. So I tried on a pair of SHB99 As with the 98s I had to go half a size larger than my normal size to get a good fit. The 99s feel more like the 89s than the 98s They have a wider fitting than the 98, about the same as the 89. They are heavier than the 98s, again, about the same as the 89, but they felt light whilst being worn. So I bought a pair.
Some famous palyers already got these shoes from YONEX on the German Open like HA Taekwon and his partner Im Bangeun. During the All England all Yonex sponosored teams should receive them. The response was very positive.
anyone with the SHB 99 mind writing a review about it? im sure many people would be dying to hear about the new shoes (me included)
Just seen it in Bras Basah in Singapore S$149 Just seen it in Bras Basah in Singapore S$149, as usual made in china. Sorry, did not buy it, too expensive for me Sorry never wore a SHB before cannot comment. Still questioning its durability v/s price ratio Regards CS
I saw the SHB99 Low today at Yonex's website. Somehow, it's not the same as 99MID: the color is different and the price is a little lower. http://www.yonex.co.jp/badminton/products/pc99low/index.html 99MID http://www.yonex.co.jp/badminton/products/shoes/shb99m.html 99Low http://www.yonex.co.jp/badminton/products/shoes/shb99low.html
wow great find is the only difference (besides cosmetics) between MID and Low the height of the ankle support? which color do u guys think looks better? i like the MID
I've played in my 99s a few times now, and the only thing I've particularly noticed is that the insole is a little higher under the arches. It felt funny for a while but I got used to it. Otherwise I haven't noticed much difference from the 89s
It's kind of confusing, as USA, Taiwan, and many other countries already have the white color of the 99 (same as 99 MID, but in low) Now Yonex came up with this 99 Low in silver color. I wonder if this is supposed to be a new model or what........?
weeee.. i almost bought a shb 98 today ... luckilly i saw a new shoe mdoel coming out. Hmm. I think Red looks quite nice. Guys those who have bought it, would u recommend it?
for those who have bought/tried the SHB 99, i know that the 98 is narrower than the 89.. but how about the 99? because im in Canada, and im wishing to buy a pair of 99 from taiwan and have someone bring it over for me.. but here (even at clearOne) they haven't heard of the SHB 99 but i dont know which shoe (89/98) i should try to find the size that would fit my feet for 99's.. any help would be great thanks
I got silver SHT-304 ( tennis shoes) and the material doesn't seem to be tought for badminton lunge. And they look to be the same as the SHB-99
a small suggestion Hi evryone, I would like to suggest that we should buy a pair of badminton shoes with 1/2 size bigger. For example: I usually wear 7 and 1/2 size shoes, but for playing badminton I have to buy the size 8 shoes. The reason is that when I try to stop or break for saving the drop shots, I will move my feet so hardly. That will force my feet move front to touch the shoes, so we should leave some space for the impact.
