    MS
Peter Gade v Sairol Amar Ayob
Niels Christian Kaldau v Lee Hyun Il
Kuan Beng Hong v Jang Young Soo
Mohd Hafiz v Shon Sheung Mo (match of the day)
Jang Young Soo defeated Joppien and Eric Pang but Kuan Beng Hong will test him more. Lee Hyun Il beat Dicky Palyama (15-0 in the second game) and I think he has a bright chance to advance further.
    Predictions: Peter, Lee, Kuan, Hafiz

    WS
Pi Hongyan v Tracey Hallam (match of the day)
Wang Chen v Lee Hyun Jin
    Yao Jie v Aparna Popat
Jun Jae Youn v Xu Huaiwen
Lee took out Mia in the previous round, but Wang Chen should be able to handle her. Tracey Hallam should give Pi a run for her money.
    Predictions: Pi, Wang, Yao, Jun

    MD
Luluk Hadiyanto/Alven Yulianto v Ha Tae Kwan/Lee Yong Dae
Candra Wijaya/Sigit Budiarto v Michal Logosz/ Robert Mateusiak
    Flandi Limpele/Eng Hian v Markis Kidho/Hendra Setiawan
Lars Paaske/Jonas Rasmussen v Jung Jae Sung/Lee Jae Jin (match of the day)
Kidho/Setiawan edged out Chan/Koo while Candra/Sigit got a fight from Mogensen/Boe before winning. At this stage, all the Indonesian MD players managed to get themselves here (except those who lost to their countrymen). Pretty impressive.
    Predictions: Luluk/Alven, Candra/Sigit, Flandi/Eng Hian, Jung/Lee

    WD
    Chien Yu-Chin/Cheng Wen-Hsing v Rikke Olsen/Mette Schjoldager (MOTD)
    Cheng Shao-Cheh/Cheng Hsiao-Yun v Gresyia Polii/Heni Budimann
Miyuki Tai/Noriko Okuma v Lee Kyung Won/Lee Hyo Jung
    Ella Tripp/Joanne Wright v Nathalia Poluakan/Mundiasti Rani
The field still looks a bit weak. Cheng/Cheng took out Emms/Kellogg. The title is for Lee/Lee to lose.
    Predictions: Chien/Cheng, Cheng/Cheng, Lee/Lee, Tripp/Wright

    XD
Nathan Robertson/Gail Emms v Lee Yong Dae/Ha Jung Eun
    Tsai Chia-Hsin/Cheng Wen-Hsing v Carsten Mogensen/Rikke Olsen
Lee Jae Jin/Lee Hyo Jung v Robert Mateusiak/Nadiezda Kostiuczyk
Nova Widianto/Lilyana Natsir v Yim Bang Eun/Lee Kyung Won (MOTD)
Yim/Lee went through qualifications and now have beaten the second seeds Blair/Munt. They are both very experienced players and their encounter with Nova/Lilyana will be one of the most interesting matches today.
    Predictions: Robertson/Emms, Mogensen/Olsen, Lee/Lee, Yim/Lee

I must admit, I hesitated also on this one... Jonas/Lars are in good form but the young Koreans have also been very impressive lately...
A difficult match to predict for sure! :)

Yeah, from my point of view, it was about 50-50. In the end, it was down to my gut-feeling.

ditto here. Never mind about being way ahead in IT delivery. The point is whether it delivers. It does not. Worse, I cannot get the website to open properly. Anyway, I'm not losing any sleep on this tournament which has many top players missing. The Chinese have probably retired to prepare for the Sudirman Cup They've done the same for TT which has the WC in April.

The polish pair show their huge potential. I think they will be super mix double pair in the not far future.

Kuan Beng Hong played very very poorly and lost 15-2 15-11 to Jang from Korea.

He looked so defeated throughout the whole match, really not the right attitude.

Not sure....but I think I heard the commentator say that Hafiz made it to the semis. However, I could be wrong.

Lars/Jonas and the Koreans are 1 a piece. Waiting now for the rubber.
