i`m not close to a pro lol
well the biggest thing i can say that will help you is always think " where would i hate for him to put the bird on me?" do exactly what you think would hurt you the most . thats if you know of no weakness in your opponents play, If your just begining the whole placement in sequence thing go for the simple TRIANGLE type so for example say placement A is deep left corner , placement B short left corner , placement C is deep right corner, go A B C if you use triangles you will wear them down causing them to make a poor shot in which you can ponunce on and hit hard line ,
Never put shots down the middle , always make them move , work on your drops if you can master a short drop and well place clear there is a lot of game you should never need to hit .
What it all comes down to practice to get all your diff shot down to muscle memory so you do not need to concentrate on it so much allowing you to think ahead further. Also when in practice do not work on one type of shot for too long you can injure you elbow for example is the backhand is the main concentration , A good way to practice is to play a game that involves no smashes this will make you rely on brain power and not body power this is so when yopu come to competion you dont rely on smashes in turn will not wear you down as much letting you have that much more juice left when it counts in the finals
so final notes:
-make them move so you dont have to
- perfect placement
-no middle shots
-change the speed of play every few shots to keep them on their toes
most of all watch your opponents you can learn the odd tricks they use and try and apply them to your game and find a weakness and exploit it
lol if you want more ask with everything that helps in badminton i know i can write a small book because i always start doing somehting the wrong way and learn from experience
and play player better than you to improve
