    Main Tension: Usual 28 lbs

I alternated from the middle without issues until I reached the last two strings at the throat. There wasn't enough space to fit a flying clamp to hold the tension in the last string. The overhead clamp also blocked the tie grommet and made tying a knot very difficult. Any solutions, Registered?

Note: The result was a much more even strung racquet without the visible signs of bulging of the sides.

Opppss, I forgot to tell you. I used the fixed clamps but they too did not fit.

More brute force might be needed to get that darn clamp(s) into place or I have to modify the dimension of the middle head support.

    Default Throat Support Issues

In earlier posting, I mentioned the encounter of the racquet swinging to one side at the throat support. I resolved this issue by putting the delrin clamps on top of the plastic-covered metal rods (central throat clamp) and tightened as much as I could. It worked! The throat didn't swing to the left or to the right!

The latest torture victim is my seldom used LF 140 grams training racquet. This time I went into squash tension territory of 34 lbs X 36.5 lbs - standard Yonex string pattern.

    Pete,

That's one fine handiwork you did there! Much much better this time around. I am very grateful to know of another high tension stringer starting up business. Will be knocking on your doors again really soon. Methink it's about time to cut the crappy BG65Ti on the CAB20TiPower and really assess the true potential of the racquet. Perhaps BG70Pro@26X28lbs? Will let you know soon!

Pete, looks like a variant of proportional stringing. I like your pre-looping of the mains and crosses, which would avoid using the awl. Re your starting knot, do you make do with 2 1/2 loops or 3 1/3 with the string going underneath the complete loops and above the half loop?

Actually, I abandoned the proportional stringing method more than a year ago. I just find constant tension much longer lasting.

I don't loop both main strings and cross strings at the same time. I only lace the main first and then tension. It's just a mess to lace both in one shot . As suggested by another BFer, I use only tooth floss to get the cross string through the shared grommet.

What I do with the cross string is to tie a starting knot using three loops on the Ti-10 and two loops on the MP-99. The Ti-10 has a starting-knot grommet with a larger diameter hole than the MP-99's. I learned the hard way on the first Ti-10 .

Pete must surely be torturing cappy's racquet. Either that or he's buffed it up so much so cappy can execute the evil plan he has against LB and frendie.
