Yeah, I tortured his CAB 20 MS to a new level this time, 27 lbs X 29.7 lbs.

I was totally speechless when I saw Pete LSD uses 4 flying clamps when doing cross. Even it's 29lbs, but 4.... god...

Before this demo session, I was quite proud of my own string working quality. Usually, I use total of 3 clamps for cross (start in the middle, 1 on the non-working side, 2 on the working one). Yeah, I do only working on lower tensions, usually below 25lb.

Now, compare to Pete LSD's perfection style, I think I can give my work a score of 15/100.

Hmmmm, I feel very ashamed actually. This compulsive behaviour is not something I am proud of .

I see Pete still has another Yonex flying clamp on his table in the first picture. Good stuff.

    Pete,

Whoa....a wee bit extreme! But, if it works that is the main thing. I do find that the racquets you restrung for me hold the tension longer and the string last longer as well. I used to get my racquets done in Impulse Sports, using their $10,000.00 Babolat electronic restringing machine, Tension holds for a shorter time and I was breaking my string every 2-3 weeks!
I do appreciate your work and being a perfectionist is good. Nothing to be ashamed of and you should be proud of that quality...

Yeah, Pete LSD has at least 5 flying clamps and 2 fixed clamps. I believe 2 more fixed ones are in order...

More brute force might be needed to get that darn clamp(s) into place or I have to modify the dimension of the middle head support.
Looks like the fixed clamps you have are for tennis where the gaps between the teeth are wider.

Anyhow, Pete, I'm going call you about stringing one of my racquets since my brother (wwcbro) likes your stringing so I will give it a try.

One of your bro's racket (delieverd on last sat) involved some of my low quality work (with Pete's supervision, though ). Hopefully my work (some crosses) won't bring down the overall quality.

What do you mean? Your work is certainly of high quality. It's just that I am too fuzzy . wwcbro likes the string job .

    Default Successful Modification

I have successful modified the mounting system of the original Laserfibre MS-200 TT. I swapped the throat mounting system with another head mounting system. So both the head and throat have six-point internal mounting plus four-point delrin screw down supports.

As stated previously, the next project will have an additional four-point side supports.

I have to modify the current setup to increase the level of frame protection, not for speed purppose. I usually string my racquets at 30 lbs. Most of my friends request 27 lbs to 28 lbs. Minimum frame distortion is a must.
