Was Lin Dan really panting quite a bit during the final?

My friend remarked that Lin Dan was panting in his game against Chen Hong at some stages in game 2 and 3.
Anyone noticed that or can confirm if this true?

Actually, i never see Chen Hong panting at all, he seems always breathing normally with his mouth only slightly open. I heard that he is the best runner in the chinese team, clocked dunno around 10-11 min in 3 km. Is that true?

    Regards

That is 20 seconds for every 100 m, for the duration of 10 mins. Incredible. I just checked. The world record for 3000m is 7:20.

According to Bo's book, the fitness index target zone for elite men's singles players is 68-73. Fitness index of 68 tranlates to running 3,600m in Coopers's 12 minute running test. So that would seem about right.

He is not the only one. If you are familiar with Marat Safin,a top ranked tennis player, the night before a match he will go out to the club and you would see him with a drink in his hand and smoking into the late hours. In Marat's situation, it really doesn't affect him, if his game is on-amazing, if his game is off- you will see some racquet bashing and cussing. Marat is also known as the bad boy of tennis at this time. I do believe that badminton players are fitter and have more athleticism than tennis players.

11 min for 3km is not such a big deal for professional players and yes i think i saw lin dan panting after the 2nd game.

I somehow can't believe this at all! Peter Gade is too "professional" and perfectionist for that...

    for Lin Dan/China rivals

Now here's a chance to pin dpwn LinDan for his loss in AE

    1) He was on drugs, carry out a urine test

    2) He was smokong, bad role model for badminton promotion

    3) He was injured, he should have retired

    4) He gave the game to Chen Hong, he was gulty of

not wanting to win badly, he should have aggravated his injury so that he would lose in the world champs and also make way for new stars in China.
