started playing with different groups since dec 2004. at first was terrible in terms of technic and double play but game got much better since then. in fact was hapy with my progress in jan and feb. but lately, esp the last 2 weeks my game is getting worst!!! worst than when just started in dec? is it me or what?? smashes are not sharp at all and pushes can go like 2-3ft out of baseline!! no accuracy at all. help!!!! should i take a break or keep playing till there is a breakthru?
Could it perhaps be because your strings need to be restrung? cause strings with low tension can sometimes cause your play to drop dramatically. when was the last time you strung and where?
Sounds like your body is readjusting to a recent change in lifestyle be it diet and or physical change. If it is physically alright, keep on playing. You will work yourself out of it.
eh relax la. its just a psychological problem. everyone has this problem at some time. you are not alone. just carry on playing your game and you will get back soon. "If you believe it, you will see it"
have you ever tried aiming on where you want your shuttle to land instead of hitting the shuttle the way you used to? Sometimes the mind programs the shot in a certain way so that you always play that shot that way even when under a slightly different circumstance.
not the strings problem as 2of the rackets are new strings cos the old one just broke. but new or old still played badly
thanks! think like what IWAN said, need to aim better. maybe am too used to my own game that i am now stuck with my own game
do you play very often? everyone experiences these phases of bad-days. perhaps you just need a break. take a few days off of badminton perhaps. rest up, and come back refreshed.
You stoke my words, I just recently got out of this phase. I played 3-4 times a week since september last year. All I needed was a 1-2 weeks off and give a rest to my muscles.
Rest and let you body and mind itch to play again. When I use to play that much, sometimes your body and your mind lost the drive to play. Sitout watch some games, analyze it. Let you body and your mind itch, and tell youself you can play better then that. P.S. If you are going to watch the game, watch the people who are better then you.
