INA only sends Hendrawan and Chandra/sigit. They are not serious about this event. Probably INA is taking revenge because China didn't participate in INA open.

INA could have won both the MS, MD and probably XD..

    China Open results:Jacobo was right.

Jacobo, in an earlier column 'China Open: Chinese Domination' or something like that, predcted a Chinese line-up in the MS and WS and strong representation in all the other disciplines. He was right althought not the right people won except in the WS and MS. Ellis

ok, i agreed. Success from one tournament is not a trend. I do prefer to see final matches between countries instead of players of the same country.

    cooler,
Ya! I agree but you cannot arrnage these matches can you? I think Cina is not only aiming at the Thomas and Uber Cups but also in the longer term to continue the domination of the sport. Euripides.

INDONESIA still dominates the world of badminton.

    Let's do a little math:
    China : 1 billion + people
    INA : 0.2 billioin

Imagine if INA has 1billion population the I don't think China has any chance of beating Indonesia in badminton.

Geez.... you mean you can perform calculations this way? Don't get me wrong either. I've been a supporter of INA badminton since the halcyon days of my first idol, Hariyanto Arbi (where are you now, Arbi?). But it's true tt the Chinese are very very good at this sport - tt's not to say tt the INAs aren't but you must admit tt they are facing huge regeneration problems, in both the men's and women's events. Li Yongbo (who isn't my favourite person, to say the least) has done an incredible job with his team.

One and a half more hrs to go....

i agree. this is such a poor argument. Adel, make sure you don't use such arguments in your college papers, else you will flunk all your classes.

anyway, back to Alex, if that's the way you are going to argue, then the country that will "dominate the world of badminton" is Denmark, total population: 5.3 million. not 1 billion, not 200 million, but a meager 5.3 million. if Denmark has one billion people, Denmark players will completely trash all Indonesians and Chinese by the flick of their little finger...... go Denmark. :)
