    I noticed in the IBF rankings that some of the players have a ~ next to their name. What does that mean?

    not 100% sure, but i think it is used for change of country.

    a way for IBF to differentiate between, say, Wang Chen CHN, and Wang Chen HKG.

    Thats what i thought but there are some exceptions if i remember correctly.....
