Ah, how I wish that I was back in Japan again. The clubs ( and some members ) here in NewZealand are terrible.. very arrogant and unhelpful. Expensive too.. I loved how in Japan, everyone welcomed me, gave me a discount ( 500yen -> 300yen
), and also the fact that there were practise/training sessions and free tea/snack breaks too..

Haha, I heared on some minkanhousou tv programme a while ago that Kansai has the 'best services', which I believe is really true. I was quite suprised when I first visited the club. People stopped and greeted me, 'ohayougozaima-su!' and the organisers quickly rushed over to me and introduced everything, as if they were expecting me to come or something

Hi Miyuki,
I will be relocating to the Wakayam prefecture, and will be working in Yuasa.
I am wondering if you can help me find or point me in the right direction in finding badminton facilities. Thank you

Badminton in Ichikawa-shi or Funabashi-shi
Hello!
I make an internship in Funabashi for the next half year. During this time I would like to play badminton in my freetime. Currently it is very hard for me to find a Sports Club because I do not speak Japanease.
So I would be very glad about any hints to find any possibilites to play in the area of Ichikawa or Funabashi.
Thank you very much!

welcome to Japan mono666
I'm living in Tachikawa near Kodaira you are living in. my club has a practice every Thursday and Saturday from 1900 to 2100, but I'm able to join it on just Saturday due to my business. If interesting in my club, I can pick you up and take to my club on Saturday.
Today I happened to access the badmintoncentral, since 2006 when I was in USA. It was a really hard place to find out a court to play. I had driven my car for 60 miles every week to gym.
if you like, please contact me.

cvanbui and cntttg
Sorry for not contacting you today. No chance to check the thread before going to the gym. Next week I will go to gym for badminton practice, if you can, please let me know. I think the private message function in this forum is the best way to talk about details. Please give me a private message.
Both of you can access to the tachikawa station by JR Nambu line. Inadatsutsumi Cntttg is living in is near Tachikawa.
In addition, I found the web site about an international badminton team in Tokyo. This will give a good environment to start the badminton in Japan for foreigners. I'm very interesting in this team.

Aww man... I should've checked my email everyday >< I went shopping with my girlfriend and her friend today... I would of love to play at your club tonight. It's just a shame that I am going to Kansai on monday for a week. I am coming back on sunday(may 4th) So I guess I can come check out the club on 10th. It is quite crazy that you have to travel 60 miles every week just to play badminton, I thought it was crazy to drive 10km every week to play badminton in Vancouver
