    Real Player does Bad Things that you are not aware of. Depending on the version, it may:

    • Be difficult or impossible to unload from memory;
    • Report information from your computer or your internet browsing path;
    • Change your homepage;
    • Redirect you to places it wants you to go;
    • Take over the defaults for various media, even when you tell it not to;
    • Install stuff you don't want, or run services in the background without your permission;
    • Bombard you with ads;
    • and so on.

    Real Player is one of the most loathed programs of all time by technophiles. Just say no, kids :rolleyes:

    You could put up with all this crap, but why bother? Real Alternative is just like Windows Media Classic. It has no annoying "features", and works perfectly.

    No no, it's just that it's been running as a background process and you haven't noticed. See "realsched.exe" in you ask manager.... That's only the start of this nasty bad boy called real player.

    Gollum's right about one thing. It's probably one of the most hated programs ever by geeks and slashdotters.

    well yes, the process is there... but whether it does anything to my system.. it isn't doing anything (and hasn't done anything) the whole time i have used the program.. maybe some people find otherwise.. but thats just my experience... it is the first time i've heard that Real player is like that.. maybe im not geeky enough :p

    good video, I just wish the language was english.

    Could make out most of the intent though.

    One thing I notice, during the demonstration the lady does it right for the backhand clear, by pointing her elbow towards the roof before clearing, however when actually hitting the bird, she does not seem to point her elbow up all the way. :confused:

    I got that on VCD it comes in two parts. The woman goes through all basic techniques (footwork/strokes etc..)

    Pretty good, although aimed at beginner level-So it is good for me!

    I got that vid too (bought from china, probably just like you). Has anyone uploaded it onto emule/sharing-application yet? I personally can't get round to it at the moment, as my exams are nigh. But will upload them afterwards.

    I think its quite helpful, as she (the coach) first lets students try out the stroke, and then tells them where they are going wrong - thus highlighting common mistakes.

    Me too, and because she got three students, we see three mistakes, and their correction. Also has some good slow moyions so you get time to see everything.

    It is for beginners (at least what I have) The smash is a basic stroke along with service, clear, lift, drop, net. And methods of footwork to the 6 corners. After each section she shows a excercise you can do with a friend to help practise the item she has just taught too.

    the attachment simply acts as a map for downloading. you need to install a bittorent client (the most popular p2p software right now) in order to open such a file and download the actual video files.

    you can download the official BT client at http://www.bittorrent.com.

    the whole thing is as large as 3.82GB. there is no other way to distribute such large files without the magic of p2p.
