It was most probably the more "practical" 3U weight since 2U is not easy on the arms and is mostly used by stronger doubles players who would not want to worry about breakage from clashes and such.

As for string and tension he has always been using BG65 all the time at 30lbs ECP (although the likelihood of the tension dropping to 27/28lbs due to the stretchiness of BG65 during play is very high). According to pro stringers who has strung his racquets he has also used BG65Ti for sometime during 2005 but that was after he switched to using AT700 old colour.

Thanks for your guys opinion. I see. So the young Lin use a 2U MP-99 with BG-65. It's just a guess but maybe it is strung at 29 lbs that time

Interesting isn't it that the Japanese stringers would write the China players' name in Chinese characters while for their own players they wrote the names in English alphabets?

This list was photographed in China Open 2007 in case you're still under the rock.

ok, Laybourn's strength is hulk's to be able to use 36 lbs and lob/clear the shuttle easily. But!! The Nanospeed 8000.. wtf, I really really doubt that racket can hold out 36 lbs. Even that's with the athlete coded racket I still doubt it. If it really 36lbs, no cheating to 35 or 34, then the stringer is really an experienced pro. What if we strung NS 8000 JP/SP/US/TW/TH coded with tension 36. It'll most likely break the racket T_T
