Guys, I was a bit surprised to see that Tan Boon Heong (in my opinion, one of the best smashers in Men's Doubles history) uses the Yonex Ti-10. Is this considered a "high-end" Yonex racket?

I don't think LYD uses MX80.
He uses BS09.

When it was available everywhere it was top of the line yes. Still should be considered high-end but not updated with new "technology" or material
. I think it's the best value for money Yonex racket out there ...
Yes he is definitely, still, using BS09 (at Swiss Open as well).

for your info tbh used the NS9900 for quite considerable time. During times that IMO he performed his best. Why did he switch back to ti-10 I don't know. Maybe for reasons such as get got enough speed that he wanted more power, who knows?? But that does not mean that Ti10 is better racket than ns9900 right? To me NS9900 is one of YY genius racket that break the previous boundaries by new invention and technology. If one thinks that those little progress are meaningless why we today dont see any pro using cab20 or mp100 anymore??

Btw I'm almost 100% certain that let's say top 20 players are using recent model rackets from top end brands. That can silence the idea that top range rackets are meaningless

It isn't if I remember correctly, because it isn't produced anymore.

The model has been kept in production in South-East Asia + Taiwan due to popular demand (as second and third generation versions) but I have a feeling this will be the last version. Having limited versions like the one that will be coming out almost feels like a farewell edition
.
There are JP coded ones for the third (current) colour and perhaps second as well(?) but you won't find it in the old models list on the Yonex Japan website, perhaps they were player editions or on special demand for certain stores (?) ...
http://www.yonex.co.jp/products/oldm...on/badracquet/
turns it the link is pointless as it's not even listed anymore
