I can confirm that the Winner of Swedish International in Stockholm, Yan Kit Chan, Hong Kong, uses Li-Ning N70.

Thanks for the confirmation, I thought as much, but BE live streaming (although brilliant) was a bit blurry for me to be 100%

I don't think he qualifies as a professional player these days. He has no BWF ranking and he has stopped his playing career and I think he currently is a coach for womens doubles?

Haha, I think no one actually believes he still plays - but where else to post this?^^
Also, last I heard of him, he was training those two super-ugly Women, one of them kinda fat....I think they get mixed up with the dudes at times, so they lost kinda early the last few tournaments. You'll recognize them, one lefty, one righty, typical Women's Doubles strategy....

Haha I know he retired quite some time ago, but where do you want me to put it I'm sure some are interested to know what he uses

Haha actually he got you could say "demoted" to coaching Woman's Doubles full time now, and they brought in someone else to coach Men's Doubles now...

Haha, yeah, I knew he didn't coach the MD anymore....couldn't resist badmouthing KooTan a bit, though. A f***ng shame, to be so talented, have all the resources, and seemingly gift it away due to lazyness/attitude :/ [if Koo really worked hard, he would be a bit slimmer, wouldnt he?

Haha yeah but then you cant criticise Koo, without criticising Hoon Thien How, obviously no fitness programme for MD players. It is a shame though, just a waste.

Hoon Thien How: Armortec 900 Power

Or rather no restricions (like booting those who get too fat....Hoon Thien How is really not what you imagine a professional sportsman like)...in the youth programme around here, coaches are really harsh to chubby kids about it, and often they get kicked out of development programmes when there's no change. Don't know about the seniors, although we don't really have national training centres as such, and I know no overweight German professional

It's just a waste, and the problem only seems to exist within Malaysia, like you said can't think of any country where they have "big" players...

And in European countries as mentioned, you can have an endless amount of talent, be technically better than any of your fellow players the same age, but if you have a Koo or Hoon physique, you will be thrown out, if you don't show a strive to improve that area.

If Koo is the benchmark half the Women teams would be decimated (slightly exagerated but not far off). Germany used to have Peiffer for years and I'm sure she would still be good enough to make the team now (and I can think of one that is not exactly in peak physique in the current squad), Scotland still have one that qualifies, Netherlands as well, Sweden, China or is it all muscle (probably is ).
I don't think European countries have the luxury of kicking out chubbies when they are better than their competition ...

Yeah, I thought so as well. Design looks a bit cheap to me, and the only reason he'd use a non-Yonex racket would be training with a heavy one....and I don't think he's about to change sponsors
