next step is they start minicing quality as well..

this can be a good thing

Yonex rackets, looking like yonex, performing like yonex, 1/2 the yonex price..
    why is this bad ?

Default Maybe already the same quality

Sometimes the rackets are produced from the plant, but before the final touches are made, maybe Yonex notices a defect and discards these, who knows, maybe the fake suppliers have an inside man that takes these and brings these to the fake suppliers, this would explain why the fakes are pretty much undistinguishible and the quality is very good too, well for the first few rallies...

he liste the price 30 so that you can avoid being charged by the custom...

the grommet holes problem is most likely due to rushing the stringing job

The best way the avoid fake yy is to buy them at physical
stores, and there will be their stamp on the certificate card.
You can ask them to write the serial number and date code on the card.
Once it is a fake yy, accuse them with the evidance.

How come some Yonex rackets (my patner's mp 30 and 66) for example are very good quality and he throws them around when he gets angry after losing a point or makes a mistake but on the 30, there is a slight paint scrape at the 1' o clock spot and on the 66 nothing? How come I hear of genuine Yonex's breaking or paint chipping so easily???

easy, 95% of badminton user uses yonex, so the chances of hearing racket breakage is much higher than other brands

That is a very good explanation but the range of quality from Yonex is quite scary we have my partner here and also today, he threw the 66 around, slammed it against a bleacher and chucked it against a wall, guess what nothing happened and then we here the stories of Yonex rackets chipping and breaking very easily

damn... i didn't find out until today from a friend that fake badminton rackets were such a popular form of business i rashly purchased a nanospeed 7000 yesterday off ebay from a seller named racketsnet, and now i have a feeling that it's a fake... new seller and everything, GRAH!! i do have one question, what's the difference between a normal and a SP version racket? i'm wondering because the one i purchased is supposedly an SP version. i suppose there's little point in doing so... but i'll post the serial # on this forum when i receive it.

but anyways, here's the link to the seller, what do you guys think? selling fakes or not?

well, fake rackets quality differs a lot. It can last for a long time while it can also last as little as 1 hour of use.

FAKE? I am no good at telling. I don't purchase from eBay, but just curious on how much better people are getting at selling fakes! if they sell fakes at high prices than is it not that much harder to detect a fake?

hi there.. i read ur article about how to distinguish a fake and an original yonex badminton racket.. i bought mine the other week while i was on tour in singapore.. it looks original to me as it has the laser engraved serial numbers, the proper tubing wrap and the hologram sticker.. the problem is when i brought it to my local racket stringer, he told me that it was fake because the letters that appears on the engraved numbers is "CH" which i presume is china.. he said that original yonex rackets only carries the letters "SP" and "US" which i presume is singapore and usa.. could you help me out on this? are there really no original yonex rackets that has "CH"? i am pretty confused. hope u could help me out in this buddy. thank you so much!

Default Blah Blah Blah Blah =d

Well about a year and a half ago i bought a real arcsaber 10, then i bought a fake one from ebay about a couple of months later to tell the difference between real and fake ones.

The fake ones come in fake crappy bags made of plastic and the code always says SP.

    The paint is slightly misplaced.
but when u play with the 2 racquets they're the same o__o.

The fake one broke at jan 2010 by doing a clear -.-
The real one however is still fine.

So basicly real and fake not much difference except one dies after a year or so o.o

AND IF YOU DO WANT TO BUY A FAKE ONE WHATEVER YOU DO DONT STRING IT WITH HIGH TENSION O_O.
    YOUR RACQUET WILL SNAPPPPP.

    The real ones wont xD
