If I am idle, I'm sure the irc script can kick in and do the business for us. I used to be a mod on irc chats for some sites long time ago and developed scripts just to do the business when i'm away
i have to say that i am not a big fan of realtime chatrooms. firstly, they are impossible to moderate. as you know, we strive to make BC suitable for all ages and having a daily unmoderated space will be very dangerous indeed. and then most importantly, quality is something that we value in BC and as far as i can tell, most discussion held in chatroom are more of the chit-chat category.
