I found this product by Yonex on a badminton website in China. At some court, the floor is really slippery......I really want to get one to try, but I can't find it in Hong Kong, :crying: so anyone has try something like this before? Was it helpful? It cost about HKD$100...
Read Kwun's article about how to survive on slippery (due to dust) floor. In general, a towel, some wet tissue, or even ur hand can do the job effectively.
Funny you should say that. I usualy wet my grips (towel) to get some grip on them when someone asked for my spray, I thought he was going to do likewise to his grip and he sprayed it onto his trainer soles and then rubbed them on a towel to dry them. He said it was for grip, I tried it a couple of weeks later on the gym floor (lino covering ontop of concrete) and it works a treat. Buy a fine mist spray bottle and fill it up with good old water!
mmm. Seems like this is the one of the few Yonex stuff which bluejeff hasn't used yet to give a comment
Now I just saw this thread Well, at my last visit to Taipei, a friend of mine bought this bottle from Japan. We were playing at the old gym of NTU, which is really dark and dusty. (it's like an abandoned gym) This item is useless if the floor is really dirty/dusty like that. My friend still tripped many times (and so did I) So, I didn't even want to try this thing, as I know it will probably be good for just few steps, and that's it. It's probably designed for clean floors only (which is hard to find unless you play at pro's courts) Yeah, I agree, just use some water (not too much) is a better idea and the cost is free !
Yes I've already read it before I post this thread~~ Some courts in Hong Kong are clean and not dusty, but the floor is still slippery... I've tried to mop up the floor with a piece of wet tissue, I noticed that the tissue had just dirtied a bit...So the floor is not dusty right..? (My sole had been cleaned up of course ) I just wondered if this kind of spray is useful or not in this case.
Actually, did any one try out the spray the wide reciever use in NFL? It is like the thing they use for fly trap.
I found it! Thanks very much. The spray costs $80. http://www.luxissportnet.com/cgi-bin/store.cgi?&shop=badminton&language=cb5&curr=0&session=4278ab6f7b522407&cart_id=14951431x31570&product=yonex-acc&seq=6 I'll try it after the exam
