This is my first post here, so hello :)

I am a first year Materials Engineering student and have a project based around analysing a cheap badminton racket (a Yonex B560 DF to be precise)

I appreciate this may be a bit much to ask, but I was wondering if any of the members on here have an understanding of how rackets are assembled and may be able to point me in the right direction?

We believe the head is made from a mild steel tube (probably extruded) which is bent around a mould to create the curved shape. This is the bonded to the t-piece at the end of the shaft

The shaft is an aluminium tube bonded at the t-piece and inside the wooden handle

The strings appear to be made from nylon. Is this likely on such a racket?

We have not yet come up with conclusive results for the grip tape. Does anyone have any possible suggestions?

Any input is greatly appreciated :)

    Thanks
