    Hi
I was wondering if it will be possible to play some kind of exchange matches/league between some clubs in Canada and Dubai ?
I havent checked with many people at the club yet, but if this can materialise we will try to do a program for a week.
Can anyone help me on this ? Would appreciate it ... thanks.

I'm confused, but how in the world do you expect to do that?!

    hi yodums
its very simple, basically an invitation from your club to ourselves inviting us to play matches which will be a course of one week - 10 days. Its basically an official letter with your club logo and management signature - this is required so that the visa process will be easier for us to procure in Dubai to fly Canada.
we have done this on other occasions while travelling to Iran and Bahrain to play tournaments.
i hope this clarifies - if not, pls ask. thanks again.

Actually, that concept sounds pretty interesting. It's been done for all sorts of other sports in the past before, I know that back in high school the marching band I was in used to do exchanges with U.S. and south america, for example...

Can you describe how it'd work, neoking? How has it worked in the past with the other countries you've exchanged with?

Personally, I doubt that there's badminton fanatics with the wallet to go all the way to dubai unless they were already planning on taking a vacation there, but there's no harm in knowing what your past experiences with these sorts of events were.

    hi
well, like i mentioned before ... we have gone to Iran and Bahrain, but never visited Canada or any European countries. Basically, we get an invitation from a club in Canada (for example) stating a tourney is to take place, with the time, dates and the persons name being mentioned on the invite. Thatz just about it ... very thing else we co-ordinate and arrange .. for example the accommodation etc. .. :)

Yeah but still ... fly ALL the way over to Canada just for a tournament (or vice versa) ? I don't know how much money you guys get but ... I can hardly afford to pay for all the tournaments I go to ! (needless to include the travel fees etc ... )

    Interesting idea though ... :)

Thanks guys. But like wood_22_chuck suggests, will someone take an initiative out there to co-ordinate with a club to do this ?
Kindly let me know ... it does'nt have to be immediate, but maybe towards the last quarter of the year.
Would appreciate if someone comes forward to do this.
    Thanks.
