OBC - Opportunity for AYDA role in Samoa
There is an opportunity for a (volunteer) Development Officer position in Samoa through the Australian Youth Ambassador for Development (AYAD) Program. Oceania Badminton Confederation and AusAID are combining their resources to source a person suitable for the proposed position.

The AYAD Program has been set up to give the opportunity for skilled Australians, aged 18 – 35, to assist Pacific Island countries to develop their sporting programs. It is again being made available by AusAID’s AYAD Program.

Oceania Badminton will be assisting AusAID in locating a suitable applicant for this position. The position would be a 9 -12 month contract, based in Apia Samoa, working with the Samoan Assn and OBC development officer on all aspects of development of badminton.

This is a volunteer position, however, there is an allowance for accommodation and some expenses. Badminton experience is important, as is Development and Sporting Admin experience. It is hoped that this position will commence in September 2005.

If you are interested please contact Oceania Development officer Lynne Scutt lynnescutt@hotmail.com or visit the OBC website www.oceaniasport.com or www.ausaid.gov.au
