Nice pic. LA Times have reporters in Beijing to cover badminton. I wonder if it's cause badminton getting more popular in LA or cause China getting stronger in the world.

No, news companies have a network which they pay to get attached to so that they can share news and stuff.

I wonder what people (those who don't play badminton) are thinking of the picture.

She did that several times in that game. I was like *ouch!* each time. I hate to see people doing splits.. freaks me out. I didn't know splits were even in badminton until I saw her do that.

Next thing coaches will be sending their students for gymnastic classes.;)

That's insane, but I think people are going to get a different idea of what badminton is now after seeing that pic.

She reminded me of Susi Susanti who is also so famous for her split during the game.

    Bad idea Mew Choo!

Today my coaches made us all do 'gymnastic' exercises.. Ouch. Doubt I can walk properly tomorrow. Lol.

The racquet was bending upward, but look like the bird was dropping down. I thought the racquet would bend upward only after she hit the bird. Don't understand.

Perhaps the racket came down with some force that's why it bend upwards. That split was done before she caught the birdy. And after she hits the birdy, the racket will bend downwards. The head will always bend against the direction of movement.

    :D
