When Halim was with Sigit, the pairing was not bad but not that good. Now Halim paired with Candra in thai open, also not so good. Is halim the weaker link. But then again, when halim was with tony, there were the AE and WC. Does Tony really have such a positive effect on his partner?
Yes, definately, in a the breaks betwee matches hes always giving Halim advice..... Always telling him not to get frustrated etc etc...... Also when Tony makes stupid mistakes, he doesn't let the frustration get to him. This is also why Tony Gunawan is the player that admire the most in doubles. Too bad he retired........Also the Halim/Sigit combo were good but not consistent
Yes!! To many people, myself included, Tony Gunawan should rightfully be ranked the World No.1 men's doubles player just prior to his quitting. The results speak for itself. We are not talking about a pair, but an individual. That's how I would rate him. Of course the ultimate showman has to be Sigit.
