Thread: Any info on Rian Sukmawan?

Well, all he needs to do is perform very VERY well in those tournaments, right? Then he gets to go to Denmark and France etc. I am sure Djarum wants Rian-Yoke to go to the Olympics, so they will fund him if they really see potential... But if not, then it would not make much sense to fund him on expensive overseas trips where he will just loose in the first or second round...

Ohh.. thanks Krisna & Jessica
Yeah.. Rian better perform well soon. Otherwise..no chance to go to Denmark Open or CPH Masters!
Yannie, weird hobby we have huh? Makes me laugh everytime. LMAO!

I don't think he'll come to CPH Masters.. Last year he said cuz he's not in the national team..
Hahaha dear Erin.. remember.. our preference change after every tournament. LMAO. Means after WC & DO, our player preference will change *wf

So now he's not in the national team?
Has Rian ever been in the national team?
p/s: yannie, i wonder who our next victim is *wf

I think he has once in the national team until early last year, if I am not mistaken. He decided then to join his club again, Djarum. He was then partnered with Eng Hian, who also quitted from the national team in almost the same time as Rian did. Since Eng Hian then moved to Singapore, he is now paired with Yonathan Suryatama Dasuki. That's what I know.
oo, I think the reason Rian decided to quit the national training camp is he was not sent to a lot of tournaments and now with Djarum he got a lot of experiences.

A futuristic prediction...
I predict... Rian-Yoke will be in the ...2009 World Championship!
They will be at least a semifinalist...

Rian-Yoke will play in the Indonesian Challenge next week [should be pretty highly seeded, but not yet confirmed] and the Indian Open the week after that. In India, they might meet Lee Yong Dae-Jung Jae Sung in the quarterfinals... Let's see if they can repeat Kido-Hendra's win over the tough Koreans...
The Indian Open draw came out 2 days ago...
