The guy in the back looks like Misbun. The one in the middle, one of his brothers? Jailani? Razif? The one in front, you?
Nice picture, ants! Thanks for sharing. If you can, maybe you can interview the Sidek's and get their insights on stuff -dave
Like their REAL, non-Ready-for-newspaper type, non-rhetoric views on badminton development in Malaysia for juniors, development for female players, internal cultural environment between the coaching staff, any concrete plans/strategy in place for the Olympics (long-term), short-term, etc You know, LIGHT STUFF ... -dave
With badminton enthusiasts here on the forum, I think the audience is different than newspaper readers. If the Sideks understand that the impromptu audience is BF, I'm hoping they'll be more candid, in addition to being reserved as well. Not paparazzi style reporting, but more like communicating directly to the fans. -dave
Any reporter can come on BF and find information available on the forum. It is of course not the same as a direct interview, but obviously they will be careful about what can be revealed on a public forum... Same sort of idea : No player/trainer will reveal on BF their tactics to beat this or that player. (these sort of questions have already been asked to JR ) Now, there are still many things that have nothing secret and can be said publicly of course!
Oic.. I can only mention the good stuffs. Its not really appropiate to post "bad" news in the forum. Sometimes people tends to blow up the issue.
I've a very serious question for Misbun: When's he going to bring back his bleached blonde mohawk hairstyle?
ants, was this taken in the philippines where they held this exhibition match with Taufik and some of the Malaysian team members?
hey ants, i was there in sm megamall during the badminton expo, lots of people lined up for taufik and hafiz autograph and picture (im 1 of them ) but not many recognized the sidek brothers fortunately the next day a good friend of mine called telling me that coach errol chan was trying to contact us because hafiz hashim with misbun and jalani sidek were playing at valencia badminton center. compared to the other day at megamall where there was around hundreds of people, there were just 30 people at valencia, they gave us tips and pointers. they told us that theyll be back here after the world championships in august. ill post our pic as soon as i get it from coach errol
Good to hear that Errol manage to meet Misbun that day. They went a long way during the old days during their professional careers.
