Hello I am interested in this racket also. looking forward for your review. can you tell us the complete name of this racket? Wilson N1 ? for all who are interested in this racket, here the specification: - Material: 40% nCoded Hyper Carbon, 60% nCoded Graphite - Head-Square: 350 cm² - Weight: 87 gr. - Frame Flex: stiff - Frame Balance: 29,5 cm - Player: Attacker with nano 2x stronger and mor stable, 22% more speed
My doubles partner has one. It is a bit head heavy but still manuverable. It's an excellent all around racquet.
N1, N3 and N5 are the even newer models than NCode Pro, I still haven't found N1 , N3 and N5 in Hong Kong. Forrest Yung tried NCode Pro before and you guys can find his review by searching this forum
Hong Kong Guys can borrow from me before making the buying decision. It is really a very critical racket.
Wilson has different ncode for different market. Asian only : Npro is for Asia with 7.5mm shaft, Introduced August 2003?? US and Europe N1,N3,N5 is EPC with 7.0 mm with Outside Wrap T and inside Graphite T Joint, At store April 15,2005
I bought the N'pro around end of 2004. I just think Wilson rackets come to Hong Kong later than Europe. In Hong Kong, the V-series just arrived for two to three months, but they should be introduced in Europe for a year. I hope N1, N3, N5 will arrive Hong Kong later as per V-series, but I will persuade my friends to buy it and let me test it. It's T-joint is very funny!!! Not only Wilson, but Prince rackets also come late. The More+ series have not yet arrived HK until now...............
Hi,sorry to get back so late...was busy past days. name in the racket is Wilson Npro, this is a SPECIFIC MODEL of the ncode series as in the 95 grams model with "for advanced player" from my experience playing..it has a weak smash,my theory is that the stem is too soft flexible.....its like playing/hitting with a sponge/banana when you want to smash....compared to the mp99..it is really weak....control aint bad..will have to play more....but to any snasher out there..you will be disappointed...i purposely bought the heaviest racket to get the power....also because it is too flexible my arm hurt a bit unlike the yonex racket. will tweak it again and change to higher tension at 28..maybe theres hope it could be useful....but am pessimistic.... maybe its unfair comparing it to the 99,am afraid it cant even be a backup racket for me also this one is made in china
i have the wilson n1 and it is STIFF... i mean... REALLY REALLY STIFF you can swing the racquet really hard but it will barely bend so i think it's a power racquet for powerful people... i reviewed it already somewhere in the forums... probably in the "racquet review" section
Totally agree!! As per my previous comment on BF, I think Hyper-carbon is too hard to for badminton, same problem in Hyper-carbon 4.0. It is a power monster when you have adapted it with good finger skills and energy, otherwise, all hits will be powerless.
I purchased an NCode N1 this weekend and it's a very powerful racket, the most powerful racket I've hit with to date. To put it into perspective, a 50% effort smash with the N1 = 70%-80% effort with my NS7000! And the N1 came with this Wilson thick, non-repulsive string. I can just imagine how powerful it will be when I string it with BG-85. Powerwise, the N1 made my NS7000 feel like a toy racket. Regarding feel/touch shots, I'll wait until I get BG-85 @ 29lbs. (like I do all my other rackets) to give a comparable assessment. I'm going to use my N1 tomorrow and surprise my coach with my newfound power. I'm thinking now I should go with all head heavy rackets, who cares if I can't defend fast enough.
I think two series are actually two different series, not just different names for different markets. As I have seen the N1, N3, N5 series on Wilson website, it doesn't look like the NPro, N85, N90 series available in Hong Kong
Is the 95 grams version widely available in HK? Is there a sticker to indicate the weight and grip size of the racquet like Yonex?
I just strung an N1 to 27/28bs. yesterday night, no problems. The N1 seems to be quite robust, I don't think 30lbs. will be a problem at all.
Just browsed a website based in the states. Man, I am so tempted to get it! US$19 to ship to my address and the N1 racquet is retailed at US$120.
You can get it for $100 + shipping from Wayne at www.waynesporting.com; that's where I purchased mine. You can call or e-mail Wayne here: http://www.waynesporting.com/contactus.htm You'll need to contact him to get the $100 price, the website says $109.99. Wilson US model rackets also have a similar warranty replacement policy, $35/racket/incident. Wayne Sporting Supplies is a new Badminton only sporting goods store in Arcadia, CA. Wayne's a nice guy. Hope this helps.
