    A great sportmanship is Peter.
He showed his great sportmanship and fair-play in the Sudirman Cup presentation ceremory.
During the medal distribution he noticed that the Korean Jang Young Soo didn't get any bronze medal. He simply took his medal off and gave it to Jang.
    What a great sportmanship.

Yup, saw him once during SG open. He's a real nice guy and girls just simply can't get enough of his autograph. I hope i could go this yr.

Anyway even if he lose a game, he will still leave happily. Anyway, does he seem to be smiling all the time when he play baddy?

    :D

Just remember me when I was a kid in the middle of year 70's.
At that time Rudy Hartono was a national hero for Indonesia.
Every time we saw him played on TV, every body bought a racket to play badminton. For the poor, they made a wood-plant to replace racket.

At that time, it was usual to cross over to your opponent court to shake hand after a match.
One thing that I never forget from Rudy is : When Rudy won the match, he ran over to his opponent court to shake his opponent hand. Sometime he slaps the shoulder of his opponent. If he saw that his opponent was diep in a disappointment, he took a few minutes to talk to him.
    Rudy was a great sportman.

And now after 30 years, when I red the news over what Peter has done.
I am very proud to be Peter fans. He is also a great sportman of today.

I just wondering, why the other players didn't do this ?

sport live broadcast is something very very

They can only put limited players onto the OFFICIAL team list, and I believe Jang Young Soo is the third Koren MS player, that's why.

I can give you two examples: Taufik Hidayat and Lin Dan. I think Yoo Yong Sung also belong to this list at times, especially during the 2000 Sydney Olympic in the Men's Doubles Final against Tony Gunawan and Candra Wijaya whenever he made a winning shot. Other than these players, the rest are okay with some being awesome in sportmanship like Peter Gade himself.

Yes, I don't find Taufik arrogant.
The SC interviews don't count in my opinion, as these were multi-translated oriented interviews...
Never seen him arrogant on court.

His on-court behavior is okay but his attitude when he's off-court is a little bit unlikeable. I remember he complained that PBSI organization taking a large percentage of his winning prize money in tournanemts right after he won the Olympic and of course there were those rumors too but it is not certain that he said it so I won't hold them against him.

But beside that, he's okay. In fact, Peter Gade admits that Taufik is a great player and doesn't seem to mind losing to him in the Surdiman Cup. It is another story when it comes to Lin Dan.

taufik is different...sumtime he might show attitude during matches but tats only when he was treated unfair...

lin dan is a hero, he plays to the crowd and has every right to be arrogant. i believe he can act whatever way he wants as he is the best on the planet, until someone proves they are better of course.

I disagree. Just because you win more tournaments than other players, it doesn't mean that you are better than them. I mean take a look at Kim Dong Moon as an example. He had won many tournaments including the prestigious ones such as All England, World Championship, Olympics repeatedly in both disciplines. He had achieved more than Lin Dan yet you never really see him showing his arrogance on the court. Although Lin Dan is very good, he has yet to win a World Championship or an Olympic but you can see his arrogance many times already.

    Totally agree with virusvoodoo.

You may arrogance, but you are not necessary have to be arrogance even you are the best.

Look also at Rudy Hartono. At his time, nobody could beat him. He was totally unbeatable. But he still humble.

If I am not mistaken, Lin Dan is the most arrogance player from China.
I have never seen an arrogance China player gefore.
