Just got my May 12th order of ASICS GEL VTR volleyball shoes yesterday morning. Shipping cost me abit but the total came up to CAN$63 + $7 for customs and handling charges for an old 'top of the line' model. Check it out!

Sheez! You're older than me and you call me "SIR"! Anyway, I have high hopes for the new pair of shoes. Will use it once my Mizuno Lightning reach the end of the road:).

Sir! Look at my birthday now. The date was fake anyway. :p

If you are looking for a great pair of Badminton shoes, I highly recommend the Yonex SHB-99. It's awesome.

What size shoe do you wear? I have two pairs of shoes for sale, they are like new, Size: 14 Asics Tiger Typhoon and Size: 13 Yonex SHB-98M. All a bit too big for me. :p

Heh! Nah... size 10 or 10.5 for me:). Yonex shoes are great if you're light and have excellent footwork, but I am so way beyond that weight already that I needed all the shock dispersion features and cushion Mizunos and ASICS provide. Yonex shoes only have Super EVA cushions... not enough for me. Although YY shoes could improve my footspeed due to its light weight, my joints will hurt cuz my game style is pretty energetic and rough. Thanks, but gotta take a pass on your offer. As you have noted, I already got a good pair of ASICS:D

I know what you are talking about Cappy, I'm 5'11" 245lbs. American Football Player build so I too need more cushioning. But the trade-off of speed vs. cushioning is not worth it for me, I'll take the speed. :p

Hmm... not sure if that's a good idea though. I was wearing a YY SHB 89MX when I started getting aching knees. I think I was around 210lbs at the time. shoes felt great for the first two weeks after break-in period, and then the area near the toes on my pushoff foot starting to hurt. If you're heavyset, best to stick with vb shoes cuz they're designed with tall folks in mind. Speed won't do you any good if you're in pain all the time:(.

Thanks for the advice Cappy, I had aching kness from Tennis and yes, I just popped a huge blister on my push-off toe...

...I have since removed the Yonex insole and inserted a premium insole and I'm much better. I might have to get a pair of VTRs...again. :p

Does anyone know if any of these shoes for sale at www.allvolleyball.com has non-marking sole? It seems like they all have colorful soles and I play mostly at Clearone where they only allow non-marking shoes.
    Thanks.

As long as you don't wear those track and field spikes, the requirement is met. All the volleyball and badminton shoes have non-marking outsoles.
