where is the place for tournaments that's nearest to Irvine in Cali? hI, i'm a new member here. does anyone know where is the place for tournaments that's nearest to Irvine in Cali? Also..i wonder if anyone here can help me out. i'm very confused. what are usually the prerequisite to join a tournament? i've only joined the badmin team during elementary in taiwan, but never stopped practicing it. However,i have totally no idea what to put for Rating and the names of partners on applications for 1 game at a Calstate (i believe it's Fullerton) Thanks for reading
Hi e1leeny, See if this helps you: http://www.badmintoncentral.com/forums/showthread.php?t=21561 As for tournaments, by rating, I assume you mean A, B, C, or D. It depends on your level of play. You can always start at the lowest level a tournament offers and see how you do. If you're too good for that level, the tournament committee at your next tournament will probably move you up. As for partners, if you don't have someone, you can request the tournament committee to provide you a partner--someone like yourself who doesn't have a partner. Where it asks for the partner's name on the entry, just write "Draw for partner" or "Need partner." Some tournaments require you to be a USAB member. They allow you to join at the tournament site and pay a membership fee.
