Have anyone dealt with and bought from this outfit? Their string prices almost seem too good to be true (e.g., a box of 10 BG-65 for $39.95, a box of 10 BG-85 for $65, free shipping, etc.) that I want to know if they're trustworthy and reliable, and not a case of you-get-what-you-pay-for.

I apologise in advance if I offend anyone who may be related to the business in some way. I'm simply being cautious with no malice intended.

    Thanks.

I bought flying clamps and a box of BG66 from them. The flying clamps work well and the strings are genuine. You are right. There is no shipping charge!

Yes, BG65 is a bargin, better than ebay. But BG-85 is kind of expensive. You might find a better deal in ebay!

If u noticed, the store is in HK, rather than north america. Compare to many asian stores (of course, before shipping), $4 per pack for BG65 is clearly high. Therefore, I believe the price already factored in the shipping cost. The "free shipping" is to attract more international buyer.

Btw, how long the shipping will take?

Just to be clear, are you referring to asian stores in, well, Asia or in the US? Because if you've got a cheap(er), reliable and trustworthy source for Yonex strings in the US, I'm all ears! :D

I too wonder how long the shipping will take.

cards_pro, thanks for the testimony. I do occasionally stock up on BG-85s from eBay, but I can always use alternative sources. :)

    Shipping

I ordered twice from them. I don't remember exactly how long. But I am pretty sure they are less than 2 weeks.

There are many ways to evade customs fee.

    1) If the value is under $60CAD, it is automatically dutyfree. [Must be marked as a gift.]
    2) Even if the value is over $60CAD, most places will just. Slap a random "feasible" number as the value. Customs will see the random number. See that it's under $60CAD. And send it on it's way.

There is a catch for #2 above.

If you want to buy the shipping insurance, the insurance amount must match the declaration value. Otherwise, the custom knows someone is lying very obviously.
